Eddie is an active teacher, clinician, consultant, band director, and performer based in East Tennessee, and is considered by those in the know to be one of the region’s finest drum set players. His jazz and concert clinics attract thousands, and throughout the academic year, Mr. Dalton delivers lectures for colleges and universities based on Jazz history, World Percussion, and of course, drum set performance and education. He also consults, writes, and conducts clinics for marching percussion ensembles, and adjudicates marching festivals and competitions.
As a performer, Eddie has worked with such national and world-renowned artists as Jerry Douglas, Kenny Chesney, Lee Greenwood, Steve Lippia, John Faddis, Ernie Watts, Byron Stripling, The Four Aces, Tim and Mollie O’Brien, The Mills Brothers, The Brother Boys, and former Tonight Show Pianist Derek Smith. His impressive list of endorsements includes Vater Drumsticks and Gretsch Drums, as well as Bosphorus, Pintech, Gibralter, Cympad, and more. He has even studied with legends including Joe Morello, Chester Thompson, Ed Thigpen, Jim Chapin, Zoro, and more.
